Bio
Lauren Moon is an unsigned, London-based singer-songwriter whose music blends cinematic alt-pop with classic songwriting and indie aesthetics. Her voice is identifiable, emotive, sincere and without affectation, carrying the kind of intimacy that feels both personal and authentic.
Born to parents who are both professional musicians, Lauren grew up surrounded by music, and developed a natural instinct for melody, and storytelling. A multi-instrumentalist, she plays piano, guitar, harmonica and ukulele, and draws on a wide range of influences and experiences to create songs that feel timeless & immediate.
Lauren works closely with her band mate, bassist, Peter Perrett Jr., who brings a wealth of experience, having performed with artists including Bryan Ferry and Babyshambles. Together, they also contributed to the critically acclaimed return of Peter Perrett (Sr.), frontman of the iconic new wave band The Only Ones (known for the new wave song “Another Girl, Another Planet”).
Her new single "Running Low" captures Lauren’s distinctive style especially well, combining a sensual atmosphere, with strong melodic writing and emotional depth. The result is music that feels cinematic, timeless, yet modern, and unmistakably her own.
A striking music video has also been created for “Running Low”, directed by Jack and Mars, extending the song’s cinematic world into the visual realm.
